For the choose your own subject assignment, I went with a unique picture taken from an Island, of another Island. This shot was hard to take because of the sun but the product was a nice landscape shot.
This was an enjoyable assignment for me as we live in such a rainy city. My first image is of a small body of water in Squamish. The mountains and bushes reflect off of the water very clearly. My second image was taken in my back yard in Vancouver. I was able to get a cool close up shot of the water drops on a pool toy.
I took these photos when I travelled to Sydney, Australia. The close up shot of the Sydney harbour bridge is very common from that angle. I was able to snap a pretty cool shot out of the window of a smaller airplane of the bridge too - not a very common picture.
My summer was fun, however I could have improved my photo taking habits. My favourite shot was the one of the sail boat at Sakinaw lake. My least favourite would defiantly be the boat trailer shot - to basic.
